We recently implemented the Comment Luv Wordpress Plugin on this site, which visits the feed of the commenter and attempts to scrape the last post they made and display it under their comment.

We have since discovered that if you use Feedburner to syndicate your feed, which we do, you must change the default Comment Luv settings, or it displays your own post instead of the commenter’s.   To correct this, in settings, change the Comment Form Identification to ID instead of Author.

We have since fixed the problem.  We apologize to those that have left comments since we implemented CommentLuv and to remedy the situation, here is a thank you to all of you, with some manual link love the old fashioned way….

Business social networking and online address book provider, Plaxo, has been gaining popularity and, according to their website, currently “hosts address books for more than 40 million people (and growing rapidly).”

Locate and Connect to the People in Your Life

The Plaxo Address Book

The Plaxo Address Books can be set to synchronize with other address books so that every time you delete or modify a contact in one of them, the change will reflect across all the address books you are synching with. The address books that Plaxo can synch with include Outlook, Google, LinkedIn, Outlook Express, Hotmail, Windows Mobile, Mac, AOL, Windows Mail and your cell phone.

Getting Social with Plaxo Pulse

Pulse is the social networking side of Plaxo, which provides a stream of your content from numerous social sources such as blogs, calendars, social bookmarking sites, social photo sharing sites, social networks, microblogging platforms, video sharing sites, and wish list sites.   The resulting content stream is displayed under the Pulse tab and enables your connections to keep up with your social networking in one convenient location.

Ready to Get Started with Plaxo?

As far as business social networking goes, a Plaxo presence is a must.

Begin by registering and then set up a profile which can include an image, contact information, personal/about me info, work and education history and URLs to your websites and blogs

Stop by Settings to establish notification and publishing settings and when setting up your profile, make sure to set your desired privacy settings.   Last, when adding your feeds from other sites for Pulse, be sure to set the desired filter for displaying your Plaxo Pulse information.

People:  People in your Plaxo network are called connections.  Based on your profile, Plaxo will assist you in finding people you may want to add to you network.  You can also invite people via email and search for people you know that are already on Plaxo.

Calendar, Notes & Tasks:  Plaxo provides an online calendar than can be synchronized with Google, Yahoo, Outlook or Mac.

Plaxo, who was acquired by Comcast in May 2008, has been around since 2002.  Learn more by taking the Plaxo Tour or by stopping by the Plaxo blog.
