We Had the Comment Luv Bug
written by khull on Nov 23, 2008
We recently implemented the Comment Luv Wordpress Plugin on this site, which visits the feed of the commenter and attempts to scrape the last post they made and display it under their comment.
We have since discovered that if you use Feedburner to syndicate your feed, which we do, you must change the default Comment Luv settings, or it displays your own post instead of the commenter’s. To correct this, in settings, change the Comment Form Identification to ID instead of Author.
We have since fixed the problem. We apologize to those that have left comments since we implemented CommentLuv and to remedy the situation, here is a thank you to all of you, with some manual link love the old fashioned way….

Thanks for the tip! I was wondering about this as well. Comment Luv is a cool addition and besides this little hiccup is great for everyone. Thanks again and have a great day!

Comment love is probably my favourite wordpress plugin. It really helps encourage visitors to comment.

I just added this plugin to my 3 blogs and didn’t notice a problem, but to be on the safe side I guess I better go back and check…Thanks

Ahh… very nice. I don’t use feed burner, but that is coming up on my very long list of things to do. It is nice to know that I can make it work with Comment Luv.
