I am happy to announce that we will begin offering FREE SEO Training and Internet Marketing Classes here in Dallas (actually in Plano, but close enough) starting next month. We have partnered with the good folks at Collin SBDC, who will be proving the venue and organization for each of these classes. The classes are free and open to the public as long as you register ahead of time through their website. I should note that we still offer hourly corporate SEO Training, and that these classes are not part of this paid training.

Collin SBDC is a volunteer based organization, so you don’t need to worry about any sales pitches offering bonus DVD sets/books at the end of class promising you untold riches. No, instead you will find straight-forward advice and instruction from local experts in their specific fields. We chose to volunteer our time through Collin SBDC because we feel they run a great program and we want to contribute our support to local businesses and entrepreneurs as a way of giving back to the community.

I will be teaching our first class on 8/29/2012 from 11:30am to 1:30pm. The topic is SEM or Search Engine Marketing which encompasses SEO and is a general overview of Internet Marketing strategies. Some of the questions I will answer are:

• What is SEM?
• How does SEO, search engine optimization, apply to SEM?
• Why does SEM matter?
• How do you measure the potential value of SEM for your business?
• How do you implement SEM for your business?
• How can you measure the ongoing results of SEM?
